WVU Athletics and Libraries Partner for the Mountaineer Touchdown Challenge
With your help, the Mountaineers’ success on the football field this season will also enhance students’ academic experience.
The WVU Department of Intercollegiate Athletics and the WVU Libraries are again partnering in the Mountaineer Touchdown Challenge, which benefits the WVU Libraries. Head football coach Dana Holgorsen and Athletic Director Shane Lyons ask alumni and fans to support the Libraries by pledging a set dollar amount per touchdown scored by the Mountaineers during the 2016 regular season and subsequent bowl game. Money generated through the Challenge will go to the Mountaineer Athletics Library Fund, which supports library resources.
“The Mountaineer Touchdown Challenge is becoming more popular each year at West Virginia University,” Lyons said. “I’m asking all of our alumni and fans to embrace the Challenge and help us enhance the WVU student’s academic experience.”
If you’re up for the Challenge, simply complete the form below. Enter an amount per touchdown you’d like to give. At the conclusion of the football season, the WVU Foundation will tally your pledge and send you a statement.
